The PTI founder, Imran Khan, has authorized party Chairman Barrister Ali Gohar to form an electoral alliance with any one of the JUI’;s Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani Group, Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen or Sheikh Rasheed’s Awami Muslim League, according to sources. If PTI does not get the bat symbol, it will contest the upcoming election with the symbol of ‘ring, ‘tent’ or ̵6;pen’. JUI Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani’s group has election symbol of ring, Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen has tent and Sheikh Rasheed’s Awami Muslim League election symbol is pen. Meanwhile, the PTI has finalized the names of its candidates from all over the country and the party will announce the names after the approval of the nomination papers and the SC’s decision on the plea for its iconic ‘bat’ symbol. Earlier, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan met Imran Khan at Adiaja Jail to finalize an election strategy in either of the case. “I was given the special permission to meet the PTI founder,” he said, adding the party has launched campaign to collect funds.
