LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior politician and former general secretary Jahangir Badar passed away on Sunday night after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday night. He was also a kidney patient.
He was one of the closest companions of former PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto. Jahangir Badar was also former senator and remained the minister for petroleum and natural resources, housing and works and science and technology. Badar became a member of the National Assembly from Lahore in 1988.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed grief over the demise of Badar and announced a three-day mourning period for the party.
